The music that moves you....
by FlyingHighNow inonce when i was profoundly sad for too many days, my brother in law sent us a mix tape.
he named each song after a person in our family.
this is the one he named heather.

Do Any of you JWs watch anime?
by BlackTwisted inif so, what is your favorite one?.
one of my friends said she couldn't watch anime because of where it was orginated and it was a tradition, if that were true, then everyone in japan would be drawing anime of "tradition" like what the heck?
since when did drawing ever became a tradition?

I took mine from the Neil Gaiman book-"American Gods".
There is a character in the book named Low-Key Lyesmith who is actually a modern-day incarnation of the norse god Loki. (Get it? Low-Key?).
I was reading the book when I first signed on here and thought it was a clever play on words. Kinda regret it now, because it does sound a little weird. I really wish folks would just call me "Breck", my real name.

Count DRUNKula and Rob Zombie
by TOTH ini may have done it this time!
i was going to the walgreens to get some cigaretttes and took note of my wife's uncle, my father in law's brother, count drunkula puttering around in his front yard so i tuned the volume on my car stereo to 70 and blasted rob zombie's, "american witch".
he looked up like he was gonna blast whoever was making the noise pollution but saw it was me driving slowly and looking right at him.

Heh heh. "Count DRUNKula". Priceless.
When I was a younger man, I used to smoke a lot of weed. Some of my buddies would call me "Count SMOKEula".

Here's pic I took of the Titanic dry dock:
Carrickfergus Castle;
Bushmills:
At Kelly's Cellars-Belfast's oldest pub. Est in the 1600's. Great place.
A trip through the neighborhoods was the *ahem* sobering part of the trip.

If you have the chance to make it up to Northern Ireland, Belfast is a great city. You can see the dry dock where the Titanic was built, Carrickfergus Castle, the Bushmills Distillery, etc.

Songs that are atmospheric
by FlyingHighNow inthis is a song thread that will take a little thought.
i'd like for you to share songs that sound atmospheric and conjure up feelings of night air or a smokey room, the energy of the ocean's roar or capture the joy of a party or celebration.
the songs can be transportive and take you other places by their sound and the visuals they evoke from the stories they tell.. my first one is from tim mcgraw.

I insisted that I needed to be treated nicely for my B-Day which he did either the day before or after.
I was always puzzled by this. That somehow not doing it on the actual day made it ok. My mom used to make a huge turkey dinner with all the trimmings the day after Thanksgiving, and invite the entire congregation over. The majority of them showed up.
Another thing to consider: JWs are taught and firmly believe that women are inferior to men, that they must be subservient to the men, and if they complain about being mistreated, that they are misbehaving and not acting in a Christian manner. You don't want that for yourself, do you?
You dodged a bullet. Be happy.
